[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Falling Branch Intersection Improvement Project: Signal to be operational Dec. 20

Orange "road work ahead" sign

UPDATE: As part of the Falling Branch Intersection Improvement Project, a new traffic signal at the intersection of Roanoke Street and Falling Branch Road is scheduled to be operational starting, Friday, Dec. 20. The signal was previously scheduled to be operational on Monday, Dec. 16, but due to weather conditions, it was rescheduled.

The signal will be flashing through the week before becoming fully operational. As a reminder, if a signal is in flashing mode, drivers having a flashing red light are to stop and yield to other drivers before proceeding through the intersection. Drivers having a flashing yellow light are to proceed with caution.

The contractor will be completing median work in the coming weeks, so the turn lanes on Roanoke Street will remain closed during this construction. Temporary striping will be in place until weather permits the contractor to place permanent striping.
