UPDATE: The contractor for the storm drainage project currently happening on North Franklin Street in downtown needs to implement a full closure of the work zone on Thursday, Sept. 5, and Friday, Sept. 6. As we near the completion of the project, this full closure to both directions of travel will allow the contractor to set two storm drain structures in the street, which would be unsafe to do with traffic passing through the construction zone.
The contractor will reopen access for northbound traffic on Friday evening.
With this full closure, the detour shown in the map below will be in place on Thursday and Friday.

Starting Friday, Aug. 16, the stormdrain contractor on N. Franklin Street, between Main Street and Depot Street, will shift northbound traffic to the opposite side of the road. Southbound traffic will continue to use the detour, while northbound traffic will still have access via this new traffic pattern. Access to businesses will remain during this phase of construction. Please use caution in the area due to the change in the traffic pattern.
