The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will be closing the eastbound Peppers Ferry Road bypass on-ramp - along with the off-ramp onto N. Franklin Street - this weekend in order to install overhead sign panels and complete striping and paving work. The right lane of the 460 Bypass between the two ramps will also be closed, but traffic will be able to pass.
The work is part of VDOT's project to open a new off-ramp in the area.
Traffic control for the work will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, March 15. The closure will be in effect from around 10 p.m. Friday to the afternoon of Sunday, March 17. There will be a detour in place with signage.
