AEP will be installing new power poles on South Franklin Street and Church Street in the coming days, which will affect traffic patterns and the service of some AEP customers.
On Saturday, May 19, and Sunday, May 20, AEP crews will be working near the intersection of Church Street and Cambria Street to replace a single distribution pole. The work will occur between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day, with partial lane closures on Church Street, just west of Cambria Street.
On Monday, May 21, AEP crews will be working near the intersection of Gum Street and South Franklin Street to install new electric transmission power poles. The work, which will occur between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., will require about 50 AEP customers in the area to be without service for most of the day on Monday. AEP will notify affected customers.
There will be partial lane closures in the area. As always, please use caution while driving through the work zones.
