The Town of Christiansburg will be celebrating the holidays on Friday, Dec. 14, with several events downtown.
The annual tree lighting will take place in Town Square around 6:55 p.m., before the Christmas Parade starts on Main Street at 7 p.m.
The Christiansburg Farmers’ Market will host a special Christmas at the Market event on Friday, December 14, from 4-8 p.m. on Hickok Street in downtown Christiansburg.
Christmas at the Market is open to artisans and crafters, as well as traditional Farmers' Market vendors. If you are interested in participating in Christmas at the Market, please fill out an application at www.christiansburg.org/farmersmarket. Applications must be submitted by December 3. Local organizations interested in participating in the parade should fill out this form. In case of inclement weather, the decision to reschedule the parade will be made at noon on Dec. 14. (Rain date Dec. 17).
