Public Arts Advisory Board

The Public Arts Advisory Board is comprised of up to five appointed residents, a staff liaison and a liaison from Town Council. The Board advises and makes recommendations to the Central Business District Committee regarding the promotion, support and value of public artwork as a means to beautify Christiansburg and promote creative place making within public spaces.

Members serve two-year terms with the exception of the council liaison who serves a two-year term or until their elected term expires, whichever occurs first.

Call for Artists

In 2022 the Public Arts Advisory Board announced a Call for Artists for its first project - a mural. The artist was selected and the mural location is in Historic Cambria. Future art projects are currently being discussed. Check back later for more information.
