The Town of Christiansburg offers complimentary curbside brush collection to all residential properties within town limits. Residents must have brush piles placed out by 7 a.m. on the Monday of their collection week, which is based on your address. Please visit www.christiansburg.org/brush to find out your collection week. For this service, brush is defined as tree limbs/logs from trimming or pruning trees. All collected brush must pass through a wood chipper, so the following will not be accepted: leaves, weeds, grass clippings, vines, other yard waste and construction materials. These items can be collected during Spring/Fall cleanup or by scheduling a special pickup through the Public Works department. Please visit www.christiansburg.org/brush to learn about more requirements for brush collection. Brush collection will not run during the months of April and October while Spring/Fall Cleanup happen.
On Saturday, June 10, the Town of Christiansburg will be hosting Rockin' Main Street in Downtown Christiansburg, a fun-for-all event with live music from two local favorites. Beginning at 5 p.m., local country music artist Travis Reigh will take the stage. Then, be prepared to rock when the Jared Stout Band takes the stage at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to sit and watch the live music. Beer, wine, and food trucks will be available at the event. Be sure to bring your IDs if you plan to purchase beer or wine. The Dialogue on Race Law Enforcement Subcommittee meets the second Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. For now, meetings are being held virtually. If you would like to participate in a meeting, please contact Wornie Reed at wornie@exchange.vt.edu. The committee is comprised of Montgomery County law enforcement leaders and residents. Chaired by Wornie Reed, the committee focuses on improving race relations, eliminating racial profiling, achieving law enforcement employee hiring that resembles the county's racial makeup, and supporting community policing efforts.

The Public Art Advisory Board meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 11:30 a.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 100 E. Main St. For now, the Board meets virtually. A live stream of the meeting will be played in the Administrative Conference Room at Town Hall.
