Yes, swim lessons will be offered frequently throughout the year. Lessons will be held both mornings and evenings Monday through Friday and also on Saturday mornings depending on the season and competitive swim meets. Visit here to register. View www.cacpool.com for more details.
In the leisure pool swimming 20 yards a mile is 44 laps or 88 lengths.
We have three pools available at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center: 1 Competition Pool, 1 Leisure Pool and 1 Warm Water Therapy Pool.
Leisure Pool: 84 - 86 degrees
Warm Water Therapy Pool: 92 - 96 degrees
Competition Pool: 78 - 81 degrees
Yes, we have a limited number of life jackets available for public use. In addition to life jackets, limited puddle jumpers are available for public use as well.
Yes, the therapy pool area accommodates adults 18 years and older, as well as infants 12 months or younger as long as they are accompanied by an adult. The therapy pool is open to the public during certain hours. For a list of these hours please visit the facility hours link on our homepage.
The leisure pool is 20 yards.
Yes, the one meter spring board will be open during specific swimming hours for use by the public. The platforms will not be open to the public except during special events like Tackle the Tower. To view hours, visit this link.
The platforms are 5 meters (16.4 ft), 7.5 meters (24.6 ft), and 10 meters (32.8 ft).
