Beginning Spring 2023, the New River Valley Regional Commission is implementing the Crab Creek Beautification Project. If you live in the Crab Creek Watershed, you can apply for rebate funds to install a variety of Best Management Practices (BMPs). BMPs help improve water quality and promote soil conservation. Residential, commercial, churches, HOA and other property owners can all apply for the funds. A few examples of BMPs include rain gardens, conservation landscaping, rainwater harvesting and planters, impervious surface removal (asphalt, paver, gravel, etc.), and pet waste disposal stations.
