The Town of Christiansburg will hold a fireworks display on Saturday, July 4, but has cancelled the Town of Christiansburg’s annual downtown festival due to COVID-19 (coronavirus) precautions. Fireworks provide an opportunity for residents to celebrate the Fourth of July while still maintaining healthy practices. Residents are encouraged to enjoy the displays with their families while practicing proper social distancing. Most importantly, individuals are asked to stay home if sick.
The Town of Christiansburg’s fireworks show will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. from a property off Peppers Ferry Road. We encourage those who can see the fireworks from their residences to stay home. The fireworks will be visible from the New River Valley Mall and Walmart parking lots, and residents who travel to these locations to view the show are encouraged to stay in or near their vehicles. In the case of inclement weather, the Town’s rain date is Sunday, July 5.
