It gives me great pride to welcome you to the Town of Christiansburg via internet. Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, we are the fourth largest town in the Commonwealth with approximately 21,000 residents. Ours is a Town Manager-Town Council form of government. We are a growing community and proudly call Christiansburg the commercial and educational center of Southwest Virginia with three large shopping malls, and quick access to Radford University, Virginia Tech, and New River Community College. Our new Christiansburg Aquatic Center will soon open in a unique partnership with Virginia Tech that will feature Atlantic Coast Conference swim and diving meets which will bring thousands of visitors to this area. It will be our privilege to host the Dixie Youth League Baseball World Series at our new Harkrader Sports Complex in 2010. Even with exceptional growth in recent years, we maintain the small town atmosphere that residents have come to enjoy.
