The Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code 2009 Edition which is the 2009 ICC Family of Codes with Virginia amendments and the 2008 National Electric Code.

30 psf

4. What is the wind speed for your area?

90 mph

5. What is the Town of Christiansburg footer depth?

24" to bottom of footer from finish grade.

6. How deep must a water line be buried?

A minimum of 30".

7. Can a homeowner take out a building permit?

Yes, but only if the homeowner is doing the construction themselves. Additionally, the homeowner must sign an affidavit by state law.
