Cambria Water Tank demolition scheduled for week of May 8

construction thumbnail.jpg

A contractor will begin removing the Cambria Water Tank, at the intersection of Cambria Street and Block Lane, during the week of May 8. Work will include tank demolition, site cleanup and site restoration. While demolition is scheduled to last a couple days, post-demolition work is expected to continue for three to five weeks.

The Cambria Water Tank is no longer needed and has been out of service for a year. After it's removed, the Town will undertake beautification efforts in the area.

The project may result in noise, dust and temporary lane closures along Block Lane. All lane closures will be appropriately signed, and flagmen will be present to direct traffic.

Nearby residents who may be affected by this work will receive letters before demolition begins. The Town will make every effort to minimize the impact of construction.
