Join the Town of Christiansburg's Engineering Department on Saturday, April 15, for a two-hour cleanup of the Diamond Hills Park stream, which flows into Crab Creek. Engineering staff will be on site to share more information on the construction being done at Diamond Hills Park, which, when fully complete, will include a restored stream and wooded riparian area that will be protected in perpetuity as a green space. Future plans include a trail network, as well as possible recreational amenities. Dress appropriately, with the possibility of getting wet. Closed shoes and long pants are recommended, as well as gloves if you have them. It's also a good idea to bring a water bottle since we'll be outside in (hopefully) nice weather! This is a rain or shine event. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Engineering staff will provide trash bags and will meet participants at the end of the road on Scattergood Drive NW. Signage will direct motorists to the parking area.

This year, Christiansburg Parks and Recreation has teamed up with the Christiansburg Kiwanis Club to bring you the biggest Easter Egg Hunt Christiansburg has ever seen - featuring more than 10,000 EGGS! This event is free to the public. Photos with the Easter Bunny will cost $1. In addition to our golden eggs in the age groups of 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12, there will be two mystery eggs in each group. And one lucky participant will walk away with a Nintendo Wii donated by Christiansburg Walmart!
